President Buhari pleads with militants to be non-confrontational

President Mohammadu Buhari have asked the Niger Delta militants to drop their confrontational stance and cooperate with the government to review the Niger Delta Amnesty Programme initiated by the Umaru Yar'Adua's government for the benefit of all parties.

Speaking at a meeting with the Global Director (Upstream) of the Royal Dutch Shell Company, Andrew Brown, Buhari assured the company of his government's commitment to deal with resurgence of militancy and sabotage of oil installations.
