Amnesty for Boko Haram terrorist fighters while Chibok girls still missing?

There may be amnesty for Boko Haram terrorist fighters who surrender to the Nigerian authorities despite calls from some quarters for their prosecution.
The indication which suggests an amnesty for the terrorist fighters emanated from the Nigerian Army, which says 800 Boko Haram fighters have given themselves up in the last few weeks as part of Operation Safe Corridor, which aims to rehabilitate Nigerians who took up arms against the state.
A military spokesman says the armed forces are committed to helping citizens who show remorse.
The repentant militants are housed in camps, and after being de-radicalised they are set to be trained in various skills to help them get a job.
As positive as this arrangement sounds, there are many in the North East who doubt if society is ready and willing to accept the ex-fighters as victims may find it difficult to forgive the cruelty of these former gunmen.
There are still calls from some quaters for the government to bring back the Chibok girls that have been missing for almost two years.
Should the authorities be talking about amnesty for the abductors of the Chibok girls while the girls are still missing or still in captivity?
