Interpretation of Ngozi Okonjo Iweala's statement

Ngozi Okonjo-Iwealla was in charge of the Nigerian economy and even presented the budget in place of the president. She was given such free hand, even Obasanjo called her the president.

Okonjo-Iwealla acting under powers of President Goodluck Jonathan, asked Nigerians to save.

Governor Fashola and Governor Amaechi took President Goodluck Jonathan to court and invoked the constitution that has NO PROVISION FOR SAVING but instead gave a formula for SHARING ALL REVENUE between the state and Fed Govt.

The 2.5 billion dollars inherited by Buhari's government in the Sovereign Wealth Fund is savings from Fed Govt alone as Amaechi and Fashola, perhaps thinking APC will never win the presidency and they were on their second tenure, refused to save for the in-coming governments.

Lets take a look to what Ngozi Okonjo-Iwealla said that is being twisted by the very deceptive press and Jonathan's critics.

"“When I returned to the department in 2011, there remained only $4 billion on this account while the price of oil was very high! I tried again to put money aside. The president agreed, but the governors did not accept.
“I suffered a lot of attacks from them and now that the country would really need this account, these same people accuse me of not having saved! If Nigeria had been more careful, we would not be here today. It hurts me. We have the mechanism, we had the experience, but we were prevented to act” Ngozi Okonjo Iweala.

What do we make of Fashola and Tinubu who fought subsidy removal under Jonathan to #Bringbackourgirls activists who were barred from Aso Rock 'for security reasons'?
