RIP to US music legend, Prince Rogers Nelson

Prince (as he is popularly known) Rogers Nelson was reported dead by the US media today Thursday 21st April 2016. He was said to have been found unresponsive in an elevator at his Paisley Park Studios, in his home in Minneasota and declared dead within minutes.  He died at the age of 57.

Prince won seven Grammy awards and was among the best in the 80s when we had the likes of Michael Jackson. He was also a songwriter, who wrote for many famous musicians.

Report has it that he was battling with flu for several weeks, but still performed in a concert last Thursday in Atlanta, hospitalised last Friday and threw a party on Saturday at Praisly Park, Minneasota, despite his illness.

He is quoted as saying "a strong spirit transcends rules' .

Britney Spears paid tribute to him by saying "here's to one of the strongest spirits the world has ever known. We will miss you forever, Prince"

Steve Wonder in his trubte, said "it's a heartbreak to lose a member of that army of love"

We say here, an icon is gone. May he rest in peace.
