Kano man to die by hanging for killing friend over football

A Kano High Court presided over by Justice Faruk Lawan has sentenced a Kano man, Kabiru Sani of Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state, to death by hanging for stabbing his friend to death during an argument over football in 2011.

Justice Lawan said Mr Sani's act contravened section 221 (2) of the Penal Code and that he was guilty as charged.
